X-Box 360 Error Codes and How to Find Them

PDFPrintE-mail

How to get the Error code

The E-code only shows up if you get xbox-button 1 red light, otherwise there is no video output and you cant see it(for 2, 3 and 4 red lights)...(in rare cases it doesnt even show up if you get 1 red light, proceed with the secondary error code then)

An E-code consist out of 3 letters, it always starts with an E that is followed by two numbers, for example your error code would be E74 in the picture below!

How to get the Secondary error code

The specific type of hardware failure can be determined by a \"hidden\" error code

* Turn the xbox 360 on, and wait till the 3 red lights are flashing.
* Press and hold the sync up button (the small white one), while holding that button press the eject button.
* The LEDs will now blink the first number in the code (as described below).
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the second number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the third number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will now blink the forth number of the code.
* Release the eject button and press it again.
* The LEDs will go back to the 3 red flashing lights.
You should be able to determine the difference between the 3 flashing lights and the error code lights by the rate in which they flash.

Here is how you interpret the LEDs to get the code number:

* All four lights flashing - 0
* One light flashing - 1
* Two Lights flashing - 2
* Three lights flashing - 3

You will for example get an error code like 0102 if you get 4 lights after the first click, 1 after the second, 4 after the third and 2 after the fourth click of the eject button...

Review: Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Madcatz TE Fightstick

PDFPrintE-mail

mvcWith the recent re-release of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network, Madcatz has decided to release a Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 themed Tournament Edition Fightstick. The fightstick is virtually identical to the regular Madcatz TE Fightstick which uses a Sanwa JLF joystick aswell as Sanwa Buttons. The only key differences is the Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 artwork, balltop color, and the button colors. The balltop is a dark hai balltop and the buttons are a mix of yellow and dark hai. While the artwork and button colors are nice, those are the only changes that were made to this iteration of the TE Fightstick. And with a $160 pricetag its hard to justify buying this version over the regular Madcatz TE Fightstick which you can pick up for $120($40 less than the Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 version). Unless you are a huge fan of the Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Artwork or a collector, you'd be better off buying the regular TE Fightstick.
